Marina Bay Fire Station Singapore

The Singapore Civil Defence Force’s (SCDF) 18th fire station - Marina Bay Fire Station (MBFS) began operations on Saturday, 17 November 2012 at 8.00am. Located along 70 Marina View, MBFS is strategically placed within the Central Business District (CBD). Emergency response within the CBD area was formerly covered by Central Fire Station, located along Hill Street. MBFS will began its operations with a fleet of 7 emergency vehicles, comprising 2 fire engines, 2 Light Fire Attack Vehicles , 2 fire bikes and 1 ambulance.

Fire and Emergency Services are provided by the China Lake Federal Fire Department (CLFD) who fall under and are governed by Navy Region Southwest Federal Fire and Emergency Services. The CLFD's mission is to prevent loss of life, injury to personnel, and damage to Government property resulting from fires and other emergencies. All CLFD personnel are trained to meet Department of Defense fire and emergency training certifications. They also maintain appropriate medical certifications commensurate to services provided. Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, Brave Enough To Wear Pink

DES Photo , a photo by Aberdeen Proving Ground on Flickr. Directorate of Emergency Services firefighter and dispatchers wore pink t-shirts in October to support Breast Cancer Awareness Month. DES leaders allow the wear of “morale shirts” as long as they are worn as a group during agreed-upon functions. “Just about everyone is touched by cancer of one kind or another,” said Mike Slayman, assistant chief of EMS. “So everyone who wants to can buy a shirt and wear it during those times designated as a show of support or solidarity.” The back of the t-shirts read: “Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, Brave enough to wear pink.”
