Marina Bay Fire Station Singapore

The Singapore Civil Defence Force’s (SCDF) 18th fire station - Marina Bay Fire Station (MBFS) began operations on Saturday, 17 November 2012 at 8.00am. Located along 70 Marina View, MBFS is strategically placed within the Central Business District (CBD). Emergency response within the CBD area was formerly covered by Central Fire Station, located along Hill Street. MBFS will began its operations with a fleet of 7 emergency vehicles, comprising 2 fire engines, 2 Light Fire Attack Vehicles , 2 fire bikes and 1 ambulance.

Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, Brave Enough To Wear Pink

DES leaders allow the wear of “morale shirts” as long as they are worn as a group during agreed-upon functions. “Just about everyone is touched by cancer of one kind or another,” said Mike Slayman, assistant chief of EMS. “So everyone who wants to can buy a shirt and wear it during those times designated as a show of support or solidarity.” The back of the t-shirts read: “Aberdeen Proving Ground Fire Department, Brave enough to wear pink.”

K-9 Beth and her handler, Fire Marshal Chris Brewster, held a demonstration on the steps of the Arkansas State Capital building recently to show her skills at finding arson evidence. Fire Marshal Brewster and K-9 Beth were trained through the State Farm Arson Dog Program. Since 1993, State Farm has provided the funding for the training and aquisition of arson dog teams. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Baltimore District participated in the ribbon cutting for the 42-thousand square foot Emergency Services Center at Ft. Detrick that will house the Fort Detrick Fire Department, the Provost Marshal and administrative support. The building features 6-bay emergency equipment garage with drive-through access, offices and meeting rooms for emergency services personnel, dining areas and sleeping quarters for fire department personnel working extended hours and storage for all their equipment. California National Guard Doing Their Part to Contain the Rim FireNearing Yosemite

California Army and Air National Guard helicopter pilots from the 1-140th Aviation Battalion (Air Assault), based out of Los Alamitos, and the 129th Rescue Wing, out of Mountain View, fly their UH-60 Black Hawks and HH-60 Pave Hawks, Aug. 29, 2013, to the dip site at the Cherry Lake dam just west of Yosemite National Park to various bucket drop sites nearby. The aircraft rotated from dropping to dunking, sometimes with other civilian choppers. The pilots move in, directed by Cal Fire managers, who spot U.S Forest Service fire fighters on the ground or follow other guidance on where best to lay the line of water. San Diego FD Ladder 29

The San Diego Fire-Rescue Department has four types of aerial truck apparatus: Service Aerial, Tractor-Trailer, Ladder Tower and Elevating Platform or Snorkle. Service Aerial and Tractor-Trailer consist of a straight three or four section ladder in lengths of 75 to 100 feet. A Ladder Tower consists of a heavy duty four-section telescoping ladder and a passenger-carrying platform. An elevating platform or snorkel is an apparatus that consists of a hydraulicly operated articulating boom with a passenger platform or basket. All truck companies carry an assortment of tools and equipment. Some of which may include 163 feet or more of ground ladders, rescue equipment, including the "Jaws of Life," generators, lights, smoke ejectors, salvage and overhaul equipment. Although trucks do not have water tanks, they can be adapted to provide water streams from 600-1500 gallons per minute with the assistance of an engine and a fire hydrant. Spring Lake Fire Department is an all-volunteer department protecting the Ulster Fire District #1, one section of the Town of Ulster just outside of Kingston, NY in the mid-hudson valley. E59-10 is a 2004 Pumper manufactured by 4 Guy Fire Apparatus on an HME Chassis. It serves the Spring Lake Fire Department as 2nd due to all structure fires in the district and to all mutual aid requests for an engine. 59-10 has a six man cab, 1500 gpm pump and a 1500 gallon tank. It is outfitted with a Compressed Air Foam System and a 40 gallon Class A foam cell as well as a 15kw on board generator and Wilburt Light Tower. 59-10 started its service with the Adam's Area Fire District outside of Pittsburgh, PA before being purchased by our fire district in 2013. E59-20 is the newest member of the engine fleet. Purchased from Pierce Fire in 2000, it is equipped with a 1250 gpm pump and carries 750 gallons of water, as well as 20 gallons of class A fo
